Zaterdag rit
Starting from Hotel OTUS in Wetteren we drive through DE LANGE MUNTE (cobble stones) to Zingem. We cycle along Heurne and Eine toward Bevere, Petegem and Elsegem, afterwards in Kerkhove (after approx. 25 km) to begin the real work.
We drive through Berchem, then immediately defy the OUDE KWAREMONT (cobblestones, slope), we descend through the Keuzelingenstraat and then climbing the PATERBERG (cobblestones, slope). After, we cycle straight to STEENGAT (cobblestones) where the climb of the KOPPENBERG (cobblestones, slope) begins.
From the Koppenberg we go towards MARIABORRESTRAAT (cobblestones) to climb the STEENBEEKDRIES (slope). But it does not stop, because after this descent the TAAIENBERG (slope) is waiting, and once it's overpowered the descent to the foot of the EIKENBERG (cobblestones, slope) follows. Via Edelare it then goes towards the centre of Oudenaarde, to the centre of the Tour of Flanders.
In The centre of the Tour of Flanders we have an afternoon meal.
From the centre of the Tour of Flanders we depart for the second part of this hellish ride. From Edelare, it goes immediately towards WOLVENBERG (slope) after which the descent happens rattling in the RUITERSTRAAT (cobblestones). This is only a taste for what follows after the Materplein, because then we dive into KERGATE (cobblestones) in order to restrain immediately afterwards the MOLENBERG (slope). There is a three-kilometres slowly descending road to Michelbeke where the BERENDRIES (slope) is climbed to return to Sint-Maria Oudenhove in the direction of HAAGHOEK (cobblestones, slope). From Sint-Kornelius-Horebeke it goes immediately to Sint-Blasius-Boekel to turn just before the castle of Roborst to the PADDESTRAAT (cobblestones). Only for 200 meters we've the possibility to rest. Because after that follows the LIPPENHOVESTRAAT (cobblestones). From the castle of Leeuwergem, direction Balegem is chosen to avoid the N60... So we return to Wetteren... to Hotel OTUS.
Sunday ride
From Hotel OTUS in Wetteren it goes immediately in the direction of Oosterzele, and then cycling on the north side from Zottegem to the REKELBERG (slope) on the territory of Zwalm. We continue towards Michelbeke where the BERENDRIES (slope) is climbed to move on to the EIKENMOLEN (slope). Through Deftinghe it goes slightly down to the pit of Geraardsbergen, where we climb over the Marketsquare and DE VESTEN (slope, cobblestones) to the "MUUR" (slope cobblestones) just up to the KAPEL. In the famous pub 't Hemelrijk we relax for a moment, afterwards we will continue to the BOSBERG (slope, cobblestones). Through a wide curve around the domain ‘de Gavers’ we set drive towards Steenhuize-Wijnhuize. The EIKESTRAAT (slope) is the last real calf biter to cycle towards Herzele. From there we take it the easy way to Bavegem back to Hotel OTUS.
