Jef Dervaes
Jef Dervaes (Wetteren,27 October 1906 – Ghent,12 April 1986) was a Belgian professional bicycle racer. He was a professional rider from 1926 to 1936. In 1926 and in 1928 he won the Scheldeprijs and in 1928 Brussels-Paris. That year he also won the Belgian championship. In 1929 he won the Tour of Flanders and in 1931 Paris-Lille.

Achiel Buysse
Achiel Buysse (Lochristi, December 20, 1918 – Wetteren, July 23, 1984) was a Belgian professional bicycle racer, who won the Tour of Flanders three times and was a professional rider from 1938 to 1950. As far as victories in Flanders are concerned, he is shared record holder with Eric Leman, Fiorenzo Magni, Johan Museeuw, Tom Boonen and Fabian Cancellara.
